A Hay Springs man died in a tw0-vehicle accident over the weekend.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 20, Nebraska State Patrol and Box Butte County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on Highway 87.
The accident happened about 16 miles northeast of Hemingford.
A Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Highway 87 and crossed the center line, striking a northbound Nissan Juke.
The Nissan was driven by 35-year-old Kyle Edwards of Hay Springs.
Edwards died at the scene.
"One of the two occupants of the pickup was life-flighted to Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln with serious injuries," Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas said. "The crash remains under investigation."
