At Greater Nebraska Medical and Surgical Services (GNMSS), a new walk-in clinic will now be available to the community! The walk-in clinic will be offering treatment for illnesses and injuries that need care quickly, but are not emergent enough to go to the Emergency Room. Patients can come directly to the GNMSS entrance located at 2091 Box Butte Avenue to check-in. No prior appointment is needed. Patients will need to bring a valid form of identification and their insurance cards at the time of check-in. The walk-in clinic will begin taking patients on Monday, January 19, 2026.
The walk-in clinic will provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of conditions including:
Flu-like symptoms
Cough/cold
Sore throat
Ear, eye, or sinus infections
Minor cuts, scrapes, or burns
Rash or skin irritations
Strains, sprains, and sports injuries
Non-life-threatening allergies
The walk-in clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 4:30 PM. Patients will need to be checked in before 4:30 PM to be seen by a provider. In addition to walk- in services, GNMSS primary care providers offer limited, same-day appointments.
Patients can call ahead to find out about same-day appointments or visit the walk-in clinic for immediate care.
If you are experiencing serious or potentially life-threatening conditions, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. The following symptoms require services beyond the scope of the walk-in clinic:
Chest pain
Difficulty breathing
Head trauma
Severe bleeding
Stroke-like symptoms (slurred speech, weakness, numbness)
Head trauma
Loss of consciousness
Back or neck injury
The addition of the GNMSS Walk-In Clinic reflects Box Butte General Hospital’s commitment to improving access to care and meeting the needs of the community.
