Ruth Katherine Reichert (1923 - 2022)

Ruth Katherine Reichert, 99 of Gering passed away Sunday June 19, 2022 at Heritage Estates.

Her funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Gering Zion Church with Pastor Tim Hebbert officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Casual attire is suggested. Visitation will be Sunday, June 26 from 2-4 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials n Ruth’s honor can be made to the Gering Zion Church. The funeral service will be livestreamed through Dugan Kramer’s Facebook page. Ruth was born March 4, 1923 to Edgar and Rachel Griess in Sutton, Nebraska. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School. She married Jake Reichert on September 21, 1941 in Scottsbluff. They made their home and farmed in the Gering Valley area. They spent many winters in their home in Zapata, Texas.

Ruth was a longtime member of the Gering Valley Project Club and the Scotts Bluff County Extension Club. She as a lifetime member of the Gering Zion Church where she was a very active member of the Friendship Circle. She considered family and faith the most important things in her life.

Survivors include her daughters Joan (Jim) Loose; Pat Bennett, Norma (LeRoy) Bosche and Becky (Bob) Stitt; grandchildren Rhonda (Leo) Johnston, Renee (Joe) Graves, Josh (Kayla) Loose, Jamie (John) Loose; Todd (Nikki) Bennett, Corey (Gay) Bennett, Chris Bosche, Ryan (Tanya) Bosche, April (Troy) Rosencutter, Chelsey Stitt and Jake (Megan) Stitt; great grandchildren Justin, Jacee, Derek, Delaney, Carter, Porter, Erin, Hayden, Tyler, Aubrey, Austin, Ethan, Ella, Boone and Ellis; and many nieces and nephews. Special friends Sandie and Rich Cummins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, son-in-law Bob Bennett and infant granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Estates for the special care she received during her stay there.
