Alliance High School's, One-Act Play team competed in the B-6 District Championships Saturday in Sidney. Alliance competed with Gothenburg, Ogallala, Valentine, Sidney, Mitchell and McCook. The Bulldog team performed the play "Nerdbullies and Other Strange Creatures". AHS One-Act Director Mary Theresa Green says the Alliance team received "Superior ratings from all 3 judges"..."In addition, the following AHS students earned an Outstanding Performer Award from the judges". Annaka Digmann, Mario Rodriguez, McKenna Ruffing, Carlie Schneider, Christian Soriano and Tori Washington"
Gotherburg was the District B-6 Champion for their performance of "Humbug! A Christmas Carol" and will advance on to Class B State Competition, Friday December 11, at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk. Other Panhandle schools that will comepte at State include Hyannis in Class D-2, performing...“The Internet is Distract-Oh Look a Kitten”..Wednesday December 9 . Gordon-Rushville in Class C-1 performing.... “A Piece of My Heart”..and Hemingford in Class C-2 performing....“A Voice in the Dark: A Salem Story” on Thursday December 10 Congratulations to all of our local teams for their efforts and for a successful season.
