Weather permitting, work will begin July 28 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 112+57 to reference post 132+85, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Werner Construction LLC, of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes minor grading, milling, asphalt concrete paving, lighting and curb and flume installation. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion for the project is November 2025.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
