CRAWFORD, Neb. — The search for the $500 Golden Seed continues, and Heritage Seed has released Clue No. 4 in its "Seek the Seed" Treasure Hunt, giving participants another hint while keeping the mystery alive.

After narrowing the search to a public place where the people of Crawford gather, the latest clue reveals that the Golden Seed is hidden in a location where water plays an important role.

The clue suggests treasure hunters consider places where people cool off during the summer, where thirsty travelers may stop, or where water brings life and refreshment to those enjoying a summer day.

While the newest clue narrows the possibilities, Heritage Seed owner Jason Hauser isn't giving away the exact location just yet. "That's all Jason is willing to say... for now," the clue reads.

The weekly treasure hunt challenges participants to follow clues released throughout the summer for a chance to find the Golden Seed and claim the $500 prize.

Treasure hunters are encouraged to keep listening to Double Q Country 97.5 and follow Panhandle Post for future clues as the search continues.

The "Seek the Seed" Treasure Hunt is sponsored by Heritage Seed in Crawford. As Jason says, "In cattle country, the best treasures are often found near the things that give life."
