LINCOLN, Neb. — A new class of Nebraska State Troopers is ready to hit the road. The Nebraska State Patrol’s 72nd Basic Recruit Class will graduate during a ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol this Friday, Dec. 19, 2025. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. CT in the Rotunda of the Capitol, 1445 K. Street, in Lincoln.
Remarks will be provided by Governor Jim Pillen, Attorney General Mike Hilgers, and Colonel Bryan Waugh, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. The recruits will receive their badges and take the oath of office, which will be administered by Secretary of State Bob Evnen.
The 18 recruits of Camp 72 represent the largest graduating class in five years. Following graduation, the recruits will begin their careers as Nebraska State Troopers, serving in a variety of communities across the state.
