Eugene E. “Gene” Walker, 93, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Box Butte General Hospital.
He was born on March 11, 1927 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alliance to Fay and Helen (Hansen) Walker.
Gene served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a lifelong Alliance area farmer and a member of the Eagles Club.
On June 15, 1948 he was united in marriage to Betty J. Hashman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, his sons and their wives, Rick and Janet, Dan and Jackie and Dennis all of Alliance and his daughter and her husband, Diane and Ron Trowbridge of Brighton, CO, his grandchildren Erica Muhr, Landy, Nathan, Brooks, Dylan, Hayden & Quinton Walker, Stephanie & Kaitlyn Schafer, Mackenzie Stabnow, & Saige Rasmussen and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Arlene Howell of Sun Lakes, AZ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Elaine Harkin and Marjorie Wilkins
Private family service will be held.
