This is the first full week of fall sports activities. Alliance High School Activities Director Anita James has announced the following guidelines for Parents, Students and Fans who attend local events. These guidelines are subject to change pending Alliance Board of Education approval.
Alliance is scheduled to host home softball, volleyball and football games this week. JV and Varsity Softball vs Chadron...August 25, 6 and 8 pm, at the Hal Murray Softball Complex. Freshman, JV and Varsity Volleyball vs Gering...August 27, 5-6-7 pm, at Alliance High School Auditorium and Football vs Mitchell, August 28, 7 pm, at Bulldog Stadium.
Parent/Spectator Guide for Alliance Public School Events
Event Attendance:
- All home Alliance Bulldog events will be capped at 50% indoors and 75% capacity outdoors (based on current Directed Health Measures). Adjustments may be made upon further updates from the Alliance Public Schools Board of Education, the Governor’s office, or Panhandle Public Health.
- Face coverings are recommended for all events regardless of whether they are taking place indoors or outdoors
- It is recommended that each spectator uses social distancing measuring or wear a mask
- Fans and spectators are encouraged to bring exact change for game fees.
- High school events:
- $5.00 for adults
- $4.00 for students
- Middle school events:
- $4.00 for adults
- $3.00 for students
- It is asked that you avoid congregating in large groups after an event has completed
Student Sections:
- It is recommended that each student sitting in the student section use social distancing measures or wear a mask
Band and Cheer:
- The Alliance Pep Band will play at Varsity home football games from the home team bleachers-social distancing and masks are encouraged
- Cheerleaders will continue to be in attendance at the games and are encouraged to use social distancing measures, if unable to it is recommended that they were a mask when not cheering
Concessions:
- Will be available-social distancing while in line is encouraged
- Workers in the concession stand are encouraged to wear masks
- Parents and spectators are encouraged to pay with exact change
All guidance from the Alliance Public School Board, Directive Health Measures and Panhandle Public Health are subject to change at any time.
