On July 18, 2025, shortly after 9:00 a.m., the communications center received a report of an injury accident on County Road 25 just north of Lake Minatare Road.

Investigation revealed that a 24-year-old rural Scottsbluff man engaged in farming operations was northbound on County Road 25 driving a 4-wheeled utility vehicle, when a large dog ran into his path and collided with the vehicle.&nbsp; The driver attempted to swerve to avoid the accident, but the dog hit the vehicle, and it rolled at least once.&nbsp; The driver suffered head and facial injuries considered non-life threatening. &nbsp;Regional West Ambulance transported him to&nbsp; the hospital.

No violations of the law contributed to this accident and no citations were issued.

The Scottsbluff Rural Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
