LEXINGTON, Neb. — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Furnas County.
During the evening hours of Monday April 27, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks at several businesses in Furnas County.
In total, 10 businesses were checked. Three of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 70 percent. All businesses checked the minor’s identification before sale.
The businesses checked included convivence stores, grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and bars.
Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol to a minor.
This project was not grant funded.
