Marlene was born in Custer, SD on October 26, 1939 to Dewey and Thelma (Gould) Tinsley. She graduated from Guernsey, WY High School in 1957 and continued her education graduating from Chadron State College. Marlene married Dennis (Buss) Huston May 26, 1961. To this union were born two daughters Tera and Sandi. Marlene was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who touched many lives in a generous manner. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom she shared her time, talents and love.

Marlene retired from State Farm Insurance as a claims adjuster after over 30 years. She was a mentor to many youth as she coached softball and was a Camp Fire and Job's Daughters leader. Marlene enjoyed reading, playing bridge, scrapbooking, but her greatest passion was sewing and quilting. We lovingly referred to her basement as the quilting palooza! She was a member of the Gering First Methodist Church and was instrumental in starting their sewing room. She was also a member of the Panhandle Quilt Guild, Legacy of the Plains and past member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughters Tera Willman and Sandi (Jerry) Kleine; Grandchildren Kenny and Katie Willman, Jordan, Jessica and Jamie Kleine and Cole Huston. Stepchildren Doug (Carly), Dan (June) and Debi Huston. Brother Delton (Sandy) Tinsley; Nieces Wendy, Jana, Beth & Kathy; Nephews Darren & Mike; and many cousins and friends.

She was in preceded in death by her husband Buss, parents, sister Vicki Lougee, brother in law Roy Lougee, and her nephews Tom Tinsley and David Lougee.
