Samuel Pedrick Jr. (1921 - 2022)

Samuel Pedrick Jr., 100, passed away April 12, 2022 at Fort Meade Medical Center in South Dakota. Sam, the son of Samuel and Alma Pedrick, was born April 13, 1921 in Penngrove, New Jersey.

Sam was a WWII Veteran. He was stationed at Fort Robinson, Nebraska as a K-9 trainer, it was there in Crawford that he met and married Virginia Arner. Virginia passed away September 13, 1989. On January 11, 1993, he married Wilma Cunard Montana from New Jersey. Wilma passed away February 2, 2007. Sam lived most of his life in Crawford, Nebraska, some years in New Jersey and Delaware. Sam is survived by 4 daughters: Ginger Whallon (John), Sharon Lee Foote (Roy), Arlene Vandergriend (Bruce), and Sharlene Garrison (Tim); son Frank Pedrick (Roxann); 3 Step Children: Stanton Montana (Janice) Stephen Montana (Jo), Melanie Montana (Jack), 12 Grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. Sam had two brothers: Leonard Pedrick and Otis Pedrick who passed away and one surviving sister, Doris Wilson. A special mention of Chuck Mader and Cindy Zilinski. and so many more that Sam had input in their lives.

Sam had numerous entertaining life stories to share with family and the many friends he loved. He had a great outlook on life. Sam was able to help so many people with his knowledge, abilities, and caring heart. His life work consisted of ranching, carpentry, and construction. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Family and friends have fond memories of him singing gospel songs in church, and playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed breaking horses, his herd of cattle and fishing, which he did a lot of with Frank and family. We love, honor, and will deeply miss him!

Open house viewing will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Chamberlain Chapel in Crawford, Nebraska. A graveside service will be held at the Crawford City Cemetery on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
