Alliance, NE – The City of Alliance has not made a final decision regarding the Public Fireworks Display on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.

The Fire Chief is continually monitoring weather conditions, ground conditions, fire danger, and overall public safety considerations. Because conditions can change quickly, the final decision will likely be made on Friday, July 3rd, based on current conditions. The Fire Chief is working with City Staff in making the arrangements necessary to accommodate the display, in case conditions allow.

The Independence Day Fireworks Display is a valued community tradition. However, public safety remains the City’s top priority, and any decision about the display will be made with careful consideration of current conditions and the potential fire risk.

Residents are encouraged to watch the City of Alliance Facebook Page for updates on whether the fireworks show will take place; that decision will likely be made on Friday, July 3rd. If the decision is to hold the fireworks show on Saturday, July 4th, it will start around 9:00 pm.

The Fire Chief and City Staff thank the community for their patience and understanding as staff continues to evaluate conditions and work to ensure a safe Fourth of July for everyone. Please watch for updates, and again, thank you for your patience and understanding.
