The Monument Marathon is this weekend, and their event organizers wants to remind the public that there will be some roadways closed for the event. Some of the closures include parts of Scenic Old Oregon Trail road, and from Five Rocks Road to Highway 92.
Five Rocks Road from Kimball Avenue north to M Street will be closed completely for the Marathon on Saturday.
Marathon weekend begins with the Health Expo on Friday from noon to 8 p.m at the Gering City Center where runners need to get their race packets.
