Timothy R. Stackhouse, 56, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at Ponderosa Villa Nursing Home in Crawford, Nebraska surrounded by his family.
Tim was born August 21, 1969 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Loren O. and Barbara J. (West) Stackhouse.
A man who cherished faith, family and the outdoors, Tim attended the Evangelical Free Church and the Alliance Berean Church whenever he was able. He was a member of the Chadron Bible Church in Chadron.
He spent his life as a hardworking man who took pride in staying busy and creating with his hands. Throughout his earlier years, he worked in a variety of professions, each reflecting his strong work ethic, practical skills, and dedication to providing for those he loved.
Tim especially enjoyed fishing, woodworking, model cars, camping, family gatherings and summer barbecues. He enjoyed time spent fishing with his good friend, Jim Clays. Among his happiest memories were watching his son grow up and time spent together.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Stackhouse of Alliance; his grandchildren, A.J. Stackhouse and Peyton Stackhouse; his sisters, Holly (Jimmy) Gillett of Crawford and Cathie Thornton of Alliance; his brother, Kevin Stackhouse of Sidney; his uncle, Cecil Stackhouse of Aurora, CO; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Loren and Barbara, and his cousin and best friend, Patricia Gillett.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Alliance. Pastor Art Smith and Pastor Justin Schefcik will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Valley Cemetery in Mitchell, Nebraska.
