Marilyn S. Hutchings, 67, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home.
Marilyn was born November 15, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Marion L. and Pauline (Wise) Jacobs.
She married Timothy Hutchings on February 18, 1985. To this union, a daughter, Jennifer was born. They later divorced. Marilyn lived in Cape Girardeau, Missouri most of her life working as the Adult Services Associate at the library. She was also an adjunct professor at Southeast Missouri State University teaching English. She had a love for genealogy research and was an avid book reader. She moved to Alliance, Nebraska in December of 2020 to be near her family.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Jim Pruitt of Alliance, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
