A Chadron man was found deceased in his home.
On July 4 at approximately 4:15 p.m. the Chadron Police Department and Dawes County Attorney/Coroner investigated the unattended death of 65 year-old Marc Gering of Chadron.
Gering had not been seen or heard from for several weeks. He was found decreased in his residence.
"Foul play is not suspected at this time," Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug said. "An autopsy and other testing have been ordered to assist in determining the specific cause of death."
