There have been some new businesses popping up in the panhandle recently, and one of them is a little dirty. Dirty Pop is a soda shop that opened up in Alliance about two weeks ago. LuAnne Hancock is the co-owner of Dirty Pop with her sister in law Bailey Griffith, and LuAnne explains what makes the drinks dirty.
"We have dirty soda's and dirty energy drink's, so what that means that when you put any flavoring into a soda, it makes it into a dirty soda," Hancock said.
LuAnne says that Dirty Pop has more common flavors like vanilla, lemonade and root beer, but also has unique flavors like cheesecake, toasted marshmallows and s'mores. Another unique aspect is that each drink is named after a 90's band. The top selling drink at the moment is the "Truly, madly deeply" which is Dr. Pepper, vanilla and coconut cream. LuAnne says that they are happy with how they have been welcomed so far by the community.
