Dylan Blake Shoemaker, 27, passed away April 2, 2021 at his home in Chadron, Nebraska.
He was born November 19, 1993 in Alliance to Kristy Shoemaker and David Lewis. He was adopted by Travis Shoemaker in 2001. Dylan was currently working as a cook at Helen’s Restaurant in Chadron.
Dylan loved hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his son, Noah and he enjoyed playing basketball with his sister, Janaye. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help other people. Dylan loved his sisters and especially enjoyed his phone calls with his mom. He truly will be missed.
He is survived by his parents, Travis and Kristy Shoemaker and David Lewis, his son, Noah, his sisters Brooke and Janaye Shoemaker, and Daveigha Lewis, his grandparents, Gene Kling, Jinny Shoemaker, Linda Lewis, his great-grandmother, Norma Todd and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Shoemaker and Peggy Kling.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Pastor Glenn Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
