James C. Schmidt III, 47, passed away on March 28th, 2025 at his home in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was born on March 9th, 1978, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to James L. And Lela M Schmidt.
James worked at the Kelly Bean Co. Corp in Alliance, NE and later with his father at Schmidt Tree Services, a family run business.
He is survived by his son, James C. Schmidt IV of Alliance, his mother, Lela (Dawn) Schmidt of Lincoln, his brother, Anthony Schmidt of Lincoln, his sisters Felicia, Twylite, and Jerri Schmidt of Lincoln, his nieces, nephews and grandchildren of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Schmidt Jr., his son, Deaven, three brothers, Shane Dawn, Timothy Schmidt, and Dominic Dawn and his grandparents, Moses and Henrietta Dawn.
A one night visitation will be held on Thursday, April, 10th, starting at 4pm and will be at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1345 E 3rd Street, Alliance. Pastor John Lynn will be officiating the funeral service. James will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 pm.
