United Way of Western Nebraska continues Stuff the Bus school supply drive

United Way of Western Nebraska’s annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive is gearing up to help local students start the school year prepared for success.

The community-wide drive will run July 15 through July 31 and is designed to assist children and families who may be unable to purchase the school supplies needed for the upcoming school year.

Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies or make a monetary contribution. Needed items include backpacks, earbuds, personal water bottles, lunch boxes, disinfectant wipes, and other essential school supplies.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations may be made online at uwwn.org/bus or mailed to, or dropped off at either United Way office.

One hundred percent of all monetary donations will be used to purchase school supplies for local children in need. Every $25 donated helps provide one child with the necessary school supplies to begin the school year on the right foot. Through the generosity of communities across the Nebraska Panhandle, Stuff the Bus helps ensure students have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed in the classroom.
