DUI Arrest Following Single-Vehicle Crash on West 3rd Street

ALLIANCE, Neb. - On May 31, 2026, at approximately 1:36 a.m., an officer with the Alliance Police Department was conducting routine patrol when they discovered a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident near the 1200 block of West 3rd Street.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Urbano Moreno. During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Moreno was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle, a red 2020 Ford pickup truck, sustained disabling damage after striking a light pole and subsequently striking several mailboxes along West 3rd Street.

A query of Moreno's driving record revealed that his driver's license was currently under suspension. Moreno was placed under arrest and booked on the following charges:

- Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – Second Offense

- Driving Under Suspension

- Willful Reckless Driving

No other injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Property damage to the light pole and mailboxes is being assessed.
