This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week for the State of Nebraska.
NWS Cheyenne covers 8 counties in the Nebraska Panhandle and we all know severe weather season can ramp up fast. Now is a good time to starting thinking about your severe weather plan for this Spring and Summer.
There will be a Nebraska statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 24, at 10 a.m. CDT when weather radios will be alerted for a TEST tornado message. Use this message to practice your tornado safety procedures and finding your safe place.
