HOT SPRINGS, S.D. (AP) — A fire in the small southwestern South Dakota town of Hot Springs has destroyed four businesses.
Officials say the fire began Monday evening in the Vault restaurant and spread to a Chinese restaurant, a quilt shop and an ice cream parlor.
Mayor George Kotti says some apartments attached to the quilt shop also burned, but no one was injured in the blaze.
Officials say the fire began in the Vault restaurant about 8:30 p.m.
The businesses with sandstone facades are in the city's historic district.
Hot Springs has about 3,700 people about 57 miles (92 kilometers) south of Rapid City.
