Alice Rose Harden Elder (1925 - 2020

Alice Rose Harden Elder, 94, died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Highland Park Care Center.

Alice was born October 29, 1925 in Box Butte County, Nebraska to Stanley and Marie (Rohac) Civish.  She lived on the family farm until 1972.

She was married to Lowell H. Harden on September 29, 1946 and had one daughter, Joyce (Harden) Kuxhausen.  Alice enjoyed being a farm-housewife and mother.  She and Lowell moved to Hemingford in 1972.  Lowell passed away in October of 1973.  Alice married Richard Elder on June 5, 1975.  Richard passed away in 2004.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jan Kuxhausen; her granddaughter and her husband, Tasha and Brian Elkovitch; and two great-grandchildren, Elsa and Oliver, all of San Diego, CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her sister Jarmila Baynes and her brother-in-law, Richard.

Alice will be remembered for her kindness, patience and loving personality and for always having a smile on her face that lit up the room.  She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel.  Reverend Gideon Achi will officiate.  Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Highland Park Care Center.
