Donna Jean Best, 86, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Highland Park Care Center.
She was born on October 23, 1933 in Alliance to Freeman and Margaret (Tooley) Garrett.
Donna so enjoyed her time at the Senior Center with her many friends having coffee, making crafts, playing bingo and lunch. Her passion was crocheting. She made so many different things for family and friends from afghans, gloves, hats, wash cloths to scrubbies. She looked forward to the Saturday morning breakfasts with her girlfriends too.
Her survivors are her children, David (Linda) Best of Conowingo, MD, Richard (Bonny) Best of Alliance, Ron (Robyn) Best of Sterling, CO, Randy (Teri) Best of Arvada, CO, Dennis (Carol) Best of Rapid City, SD and Deb (Scott) Dagit of Cedar Falls, IA, her 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces Kim (Tom) Liberg and children of Dewey, AZ, Nancy (Mike) Guthrie and children of Greeley, CO her nephews Ken (Sandy) Willey and children of Alliance and Mike Willey of Williston, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Doug Best and her sister Helen Willey Lingbloom.
Memorial services will be held at a later date with interment to be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.
