CRAWFORD, Neb. — The Crawford Chamber of Commerce will kick off its annual Independence Day Parade with a thrilling F-16 flyover on July 4, 2025, performed by Kent Moody, call sign “Levi.”
Moody, a commander with the 162nd Wing of the Air National Guard in Tucson, Arizona, will lead the aerial salute. The 162nd is the largest flying wing in the Air National Guard and plays a key role in training both U.S. and foreign military pilots — including personnel from Ukraine — on the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The unit also maintains a 24/7 Aerospace Control Alert (ACA) mission, where pilots and ground crew remain on constant standby to defend U.S. airspace. Moody currently serves as the commander of the ACA detachment.
The flyover will mark the start of Crawford’s patriotic celebration, continuing a proud tradition of honoring military service and American independence.
