William B. “Bill” Adam, 82, died Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home north of Ashby.
Bill was born October 7, 1940 in Alliance, Nebraska to Bernard B. and Marie P. (Nissen) Adam.
Bill attended North Ashby Country School through 2nd grade, then went onto Ashby School through 8th grade, and graduated from Hyannis High School in 1958. Following graduation, Bill worked on the ranch before being drafted into the United States Army in 1963. Following his service, was honorably discharged in 1965 and returned to work on the ranch where he spent the rest of his life.
Bill was a 57 year member of the American Legion Post No. 57. He was also a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Master Mason. He liked old cars and enjoyed going to car shows when possible.
He is survived by his sister, Charlene “Sherry” Craig of Hyannis; his nephews, Larry (Milly) Craig of Hemingford, Randy (Amber) Craig of Alliance and Willie Craig of Kearney; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance. Mr. Greg White will officiate.
