Alliance girls' and boys' basketball face stiff tests tonight (Tuesday) against rival Chadron.

In the girl's game, Alliance will try to get a key road win after they played tough on Friday night in a 46-42 loss to Ogallala to drop to 5-8.

Chadron is 8-7 after their worst shooting night of the season in a 46-21 defeat at Gordon-Rushville.

Alliance will aim to contain Chadron State basketball commit Demi Ferguson, who averages 15 ppg. Alliance's top three scorers are Jaelynne Clarke who averages 13 ppg, with Ciara "CeeCee" Hudson and Macey Seebohm both just under double figures.

In the boy's game, Alliance hopes to get back track after a great start but tough finish in their 73-47 Friday night loss to 14-1 Ogallala. Alliance fell to 5-8 and take on a Chadron team that has won four in a row to get to 9-5.

Both teams average 57 points per game, but it will be the team who can rebound and force turnovers that will likely pick up the victory.

Coverage begins at approximately 5:30 or whenever the JV games are over, which could be closer to 5:45-5:50. Listen live on KCOW in Alliance or worldwide at kcowradio.com.
