Chadron Police Department Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Event Results

The Chadron Police Department recently participated in the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign event this fall, between Aug. 16 and Sept. 1, 2025

This year between Aug. 16 and Sept. 1, the Chadron Police Department, through grant money provided by the NDOT, increased the number of officers patrolling in the Chadron area. Those officers were able to focus on searching for drunk and impaired drivers. The event was a success in that there were 189 total contacts made with the following outcome:

31 warnings for head or tail light infractions, 50 speed warnings for 6-10 mph over the speed limit, 15 citations for 11 mph or more over the speed limit, 14 stop sign violation warnings, one citation issued for no operator’s license, five citations issued for minor in possession of alcohol, three citations for no registration in vehicle, four warnings issued for failure to yield right of way, one citation for child passenger safety restraint, five arrests for driving while intoxicated (alcohol), one arrest for driving while intoxicated (drugs) and more.
