CSC closed Monday

CHADRON – Chadron State College is closing its campus Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, because of winter weather conditions. The residence halls and dining services will remain open.

Extremely cold temperatures are forecast for Chadron and the surrounding area. Due to these frigid temperatures, the National Weather Service is issuing a wind chill warning for Chadron that remains in effect until Monday at 11 a.m. The National Weather Service is predicting dangerously cold wind chills that could be as low as 45 to 55 degrees below zero.

The college’s events to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday have been postponed. College officials continue to monitor the winter storm, and if conditions persist, information about a late start or closure will be communicated in the future.
