Services for Don Bolinger will be Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00am at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance, NE. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Alliance Berean Church located at 1639 Emerson Avenue.
Don was the first born to John and Luella Bolinger.
Her graduated from Alliance High School in Alliance, NE. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. During that time, his father died suddenly and he came home to help his mother raise his younger sister and brother.
Don worked several different places through those years. While working at Electric Hose and Rubber, Don and Gretchen met and fell in love. They were married in 1977 in Alliance, NE.
Gretchen has three sons from a previous marriage whom Don raised as his own.
As a child, Don attended the Salvation Army church. At that time he asked the Lord into his life, but as many of us, he let that slip by and it wasn't until 1987 when he had a massive coronary that he knew God had something more in mind for his life. At that time, he gave full control of his life to God. He was very quiet about it, but studied daily searching for God's will in his life. Don was a member of Alliance Berean Church in Alliance, NE and also Grace Bible Fellowship in Yuma, AZ.
Don was always excited and joyful at the birth of each of his grand children. Family was important to him.
Don worked for BNSF Railroad as a machinist. Mostly in tool repair being known as "Don the Tool Guy". He retired in 2008 after 30 years of service.
Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister, daughter-in-law, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors include wife, Gretchen, brother Bill (Pam) Bolinger, Douglas, NE; Sons Troy Moss (Stacey), Green River, WY; Mike Moss (Jennifer) Alliance, NE; Brad Moss (Maggie) Grafton, NE; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by all
Celebration of life services will be held at Grace Bible Fellowship in Yuma, AZ January 3, 2022 at 10:30am.
Burial at a later date in the Alliance Veterans Cemetery in Alliance, NE.
