Beverly Chaney, 63, of Scottsbluff passed away on August 2, 2023, at Regional West Hospital.
Beverly Jean Chaney, 63, passed away August 2, 2023, in Scottsbluff, NE. Cremation was chosen and a private memorial will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
Bev, as she was known by many, was born in Council Bluffs, IA to Charles and Leona Chaney. Their growing family moved to Mountain Grove, MO in 1963. The family then relocated to Casper, WY in 1972. After a short stay, they moved to Mitchell, NE in 1973. They settled in Scottsbluff after Bev graduated from Mitchell High School. Bev took a job at Scotty's Drive In at the age of 16, where she met her best and life-long friend Kari Johnston. Bev was dedicated to Scotty's and worked there until she retired in January 2023. Bev was an avid reader of many genres. She also liked to work crossword puzzles, sudoku, and word searches. She took great interest in her many family members’ well-being and activities.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles and sister Nancey.
She is survived by her mother Leona (Scottsbluff); brother Steve (Judie) (Houston, MO); nieces and nephews, as well as extended family across the country.
