On May 20 the Alliance Community Pharmacy was involved in a burglary.

Approximately $15,000 in pharmaceutical drugs were stolen.

According to the Box Butte County Sheriff's Department, the robbers "cut a hole in the wall" of the pharmacy, which gained them access to the building.

"We have identified suspects who are from out-of-state and are working with federal partners to apprehend them," Alliance Police Chief Philip Lukens said. "We are grateful for the technology we utilize, which aided in solving this crime. We will not tolerate out of town crime groups or local groups to victimize our community."

The Alliance Police Department is currently partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in this ongoing investigation.

More details will be released when available.

The mission of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is to ensure the safety and health of American communities by combating criminal drug networks bringing harm, violence, overdoses, and poisonings to the United States. To accomplish this mission, the DEA employs approximately 10,000 personnel throughout the world – Special Agents, Diversion Investigators, Intelligence Analysts, Chemists, and professional staff – across 241 domestic offices in 23 Divisions and 93 foreign offices across the globe.
