Armed Suspect Sought Following Vehicle Burglary

Alliance, Neb. – On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Alliance Police Officers received a report of a white male suspect attempting to break into vehicles in the West 3rd Street area. The suspect gained entry into a vehicle in the 1400 block of West 3rd Street and stole two loaded Ruger handguns, a large sum of cash, and a brown purse.

It is unknown if the suspect entered any other vehicles, but witnesses observed him checking door handles on West 3rd Street and in the Meadows Trailer Court area.

Investigators have since obtained surveillance footage of the suspect from nearby businesses. If you recognize the individual, do not approach him. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Please contact the Alliance Police Department at 308-762-4955 to request an officer response. Chief Leavitt urges all residents to take precautions to prevent similar incidents:

“We now have a criminal on the streets of Alliance with not one, but two loaded handguns,” Leavitt said. “We need gun owners to act responsibly. Please lock your vehicles, remove your keys, and take all valuables, including firearms, with you.”
