An Alliance native and University of Nebraska Kearney student recently earned a 1st place award at a National Leadership Conference. Courtney Cox of Alliance was one of eight UNK students who earned ten awards at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference from, June 22-25 in Atlanta Georgia. Courtney won the first place award in the Foundations of Finance category and the Alliance native also took Fourth place in the Finance Case Competition.
The annual conference gives FBLA members from colleges and universities across the country an opportunity to network, attend leadership workshops and compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. The top 10 performers in each event were recognized June 25 during the Awards of Excellence Ceremony.
