ALLIANCE, Neb. – A newly established Mahjong Game Group will be meeting regularly to play at the Alliance Public Library. The group plans to meet for their first two sessions of the game on Jan. 9 and Jan. 23, from 1-3 p.m. in the community room. Join us for this intriguing and fun strategy game played with beautifully themed tiles that players acquire to create pattern-based hands, and complete phases through the process of drawing and discarding tiles.
If you have heard of the game and are interested in learning to play, this is your group! All levels of skill are encouraged to attend. The group will meet on the second and fourth Friday of every month. You do not need to register, and it is free and open to the public, ages 18 and older. Games will be provided by the Alliance Public Library, courtesy of the APL Foundation.
