UPDATE Chadron police seek public's help locating child

Update 11:35 a.m. Oct. 8

"This missing juvenile from Chadron, Greggory Pond has been located and is safe," Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein said. "He was located in South Dakota and is currently with family members.  We would like to thank you and everyone in our coverage areas for their assistance with this case."

The Chadron Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 10-year-old Greggory Pond.

Greggory is described as being Native American, 4’11” and weighing approximately 150 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white hat, black shirt, black pants, black and white shoes.

Pond was last seen at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Pump & Pantry in Chadron getting into a black 4-door sedan.

The black sedan is possibly a Ford Fusion with South Dakota license plates.

"Greggory is possibly with Rowland Coomes," Chadron Police Chief Richard Hickstein said. "Rowland is a 34-year-old Native American male, 5’7" and weighing approximately 170 pounds. Rowland is described as driving a white or grey minivan with the back window broken out with plastic covering it."
