By Kalin Krohe, Panhandle Post

Eagle ROC's Community Hero for June is Sam Parker from Chadron State College.

Eagle Radio's Account Representative Aaron Willey presented Parker with gifts from local businesses in the community.

Eagle Radio purchased items from Bean Broker Coffee House and Pub, Runza, Nebraskaland Tire and Big Bats LLC. in Chadron.

Parker's nomination: Sam is a servant and humble leader. He epitomizes care and love in all that he does. He has a profound impact in the community at CSC, Ridgeview Bible Church, and in the City of Chadron. He volunteers his time to several different causes, and he brings positivity and encouragement in the process. For example, he helped start the Big Event (an annual community service project in Chadron), he regularly has built positive relationships with Job Corps and Chadron State students, and he volunteers a great deal of time helping his local church. He is also one of the most humble individuals I know.

Our Community Hero Campaign is powered by:  Manna PC in Chadron, Nebraskaland Tire in Chadron, Tada Quilt Shop and Art Studio in Chadron and Panhandle Post.

You can nominate a community hero to win a gift basket of items purchased from local businesses in the community they work in via our contest page.
