The Alliance Lions Club completed its annual Shopping Spree fundraiser on Saturday morning November 9 at Grocery Kart. Raffle winner Sandi Watkins stuffed $533.48 worth of groceries into four shopping carts in three minutes.
The second-place winner of a $50 gift certificate, Jazmine Burri, and third place winner of a Thanksgiving turkey, Lori Benzel, will be picking up their prizes at a later date.

Proceeds from this raffle will go into local community projects such as the maintenance of Lion's Park located at 6th and Buffalo and to help local people who need glasses and do not qualify for any other programs.
Upcoming projects include hosting the Nebraska Lions Foundation Mobile Screening Unit at St. Agnes Academy and the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School and monthly service at the Community Table.
If you would like to assist with any of these worthy projects, join the Alliance Lions Club. We meet the first, second and fourth Wednesdays at noon at the Pizza Hut. Or you may join us on third Tuesdays as we serve at the Community Table.
