Veterans Day progams planned for Thursday

Veteran's Day is Thursday, November 11. There are several programs planned  to Honor our Veterans.   

Alliance St. Agnes Academy will hold a Veteran's Day program at 9 am, Thursday at the Holy Rosary Parish Center Gym. St. Agnes Students will do special presentations and there will be guest speakers. 20 year Military Veteran, Steve Nelson will be the featured speaker.  The public is welcome to attend

Alliance High School will also hold a Veteran's day program Thursday, at 2:45 pm at the AHS Performing Arts Center.  Speakers will include a video interview with Manuel and Rosa Vazquez and on stage speakers Seth McLaughlin and Tyler Sherlock.  Both AHS graduates,  Veterans and   Officers with the Alliance Police Dept.  The Alliance High School Band and Choir students will also perform.  The public is welcome to attend.

All are welcome to stop by the Sallows Military Museum for a Veteran's Day reception and open house, Thursday from 2-5 pm.  All are welcome to view the new exhibits and cider and cookies will be served.  The Sallows Military Museum is located at 11th and Niobrara in Alliance. 

The Avenue of Flags will be displayed in Hemingford in honor of Veteran's Day.  Help is needed to put up the flags around 7 am, Thursday morning and then help is needed to take down the flags around 3 pm. Please meet at the Hemingford American Legion Post if you would like to help.
