The United Way of Western Nebraska is looking for volunteers in Alliance and the Nebraska Panhandle, as they are partnering with Western Community Health Resources in an event on Wednesday in their senior's commodity distribution. and they can still use volunteers for that. UWWN Executive Director Karen Benzel describes another volunteer coming up soon.
"We also have a big project coming up in December with our Christmas food baskets," Benzel said. "There are lots of opportunities to pick up the donated items, to sort it, then also distribute it so we have many volunteer opportunities right now."
