Elsie M. Haller, 83, of Hemingford, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family following a long battle with cancer.
She was born October 24, 1939 in Thedford, Nebraska to Lois W. and Beula M. (Kennedy) Herbaugh.
Elsie had a great talent and loved to crochet. She had even won awards at the Nebraska State Fair for her work. She loved to do arts and crafts and do puzzles with her husband of 65 years. She was also a talented cake decorator and seamstress. Her greatest joy was her family. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary and enjoyed sitting around the table to visit with each person that walked through her doors. Her love of flowers, gardening and crafting has been passed down to her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Francis “Pat” Haller of Hemingford; her daughter, Christine (Troy) Morrow of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Baily Morrow and Brady Morrow of Fort Worth, TX, and McKenzie (Brice) Gunter of Weatherford, TX; her great-granddaughter, Avery Gunter of Weatherford, TX; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Bill, Emerald “Bud” and Dennis Herbaugh, and her sisters, Joyce Overturf and Linda Winter.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and her interment will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.
