A South Dakota man will have an arraignment today in Box Butte County Court for drug and weapon charges.
30-year-old Dakota Young of Pine Ridge, South Dakota was pulled over on Highway 385 by a Nebraska State Patrol trooper last week in Box Butte County due to a faulty tail light.
The Nebraska State Patrol found over 13 grams of cocaine, a pound of marijuana, THC wax and a defaced weapon when Young's vehicle was searched.
Young was planning on selling the drugs on the Pine Ridge Reservation according to the Nebraska State Patrol and court documents.
Young will be charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm during a drug violation and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
