KEARNEY, Neb. — The Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) is hosting a special panel discussion on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Founders Gallery. The event will feature photographer Dana Fritz, who will discuss her current exhibition, Field Guide to a Hybrid Landscape, on view in the Lauritzen Gallery through Jan. 4, 2025. Joining her will be Nate Eidem, Marcos Stoltzfus, Amanda Hefner and Pam Bergstrom, engaging in a conversation about conservation, environmental education and fostering stronger connections between people and the land. The conversation will be moderated by MONA curator Karissa Johnson.

In the exhibition, Fritz thoughtfully observes the human imprint on our environmental history, the devastating yet restorative effects of wildfire, and the resilience of nature. Her black-and-white photography provides a rich and educational narrative for museum visitors, seamlessly connecting the state's natural landmarks through poignant and nuanced imagery of the Nebraska National Forest at Halsey and the Bessey Nursery.
