AURORA, Neb. — Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company (“Aurora Cooperative”) today announced the sale of its Wray, Colorado location to Western Cooperative Company (“WESTCO”), a cooperative with strong experience serving producers and crop needs in the surrounding region.
The Wray facility has been part of Aurora Cooperative’s broader network of agricultural service locations. The sale reflects Aurora Cooperative’s continued focus on aligning assets, services, and local market needs while ensuring area producers continue to have access to knowledgeable, dependable support.
“This transition is about doing what is right for the customers and communities we serve,” said Chris Decker, CEO of Aurora Cooperative. “WESTCO understands the agronomic needs, cropping patterns, and producer relationships in the Wray area, and we believe they are well positioned to continue serving local growers with the expertise they deserve.”
Under the agreement, WESTCO will assume operations at the Wray location effective September 14 and will work to provide a smooth transition for customers, employees, and community partners.
Aurora Cooperative and WESTCO will coordinate closely to support continuity of service throughout the transition period.
