April 21 – Chadron Community Hospital Circle of Light held their fundraiser “Show The Light In Your Heart” Friday, April 14, 2023 at Dawes County Fairgrounds.
The event was attended by over 300 people, and had 157 silent auction items, as well as 47 live auction items. Thanks to all the generous donations, and funds collected through the auction items at the event, Circle of Light was able to raise over $52,000 to help area cancer patients. Circle of Light would like to say thank you to all those who donated, attended, or helped in any way.
Circle of Light is a non-profit program that was started by a grant from Susan G. Komen foundation in 2009 to help breast cancer patients. They held their first fundraiser to raise funds and open the program up to all cancer patients that live in Dawes, Sioux and Sheridan Counties. Circle of Light provides financial assistance to patients who are undergoing cancer treatment. These funds can be used for living, travel, medical expenses, or as the patient needs. All funds raised stay local! Since the program started in 2009, we have given out over $792,000 to over 300 area cancer patients. All these funds have been raised through donations, fundraising, memorials and grants.
