Alliance FFA’s Farm and Agribusiness Management team won the state competition in Lincoln last spring allowing them to represent Nebraska in the National Farm & Agribusiness Management event at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
Team members Cord McBride, Wade Sanders, Logan Thompson and Wyatt walker earned a Silver Rating and 17th place in the nation.
Individually Wade earned a Gold Rating and Cord, Logan and Wyatt all earned silver ratings.
The competition included several intense exams on agricultural economic, finance, marketing, business organization and taxes. Students took a general exam, a calculation exam and then as a team worked through an existing farm operations financial data and were tasked with evaluating the operation financially and providing suggestions for improvements.
We are very proud of the teams achievements and look forward to how they will apply the skills they have learned in this event to their future endeavors in agriculture.
