On July 22 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Scottsbluff Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Avenue B and Rugger Drive for a rollover vehicle accident.

20 year-old Tucker Straub of Scottsbluff was driving a maroon Ford F-150 at a high speed on Avenue B.

"The pickup attempted to slow to turn onto Rugger Drive, but was unable to slow enough to do so," Scottsbluff Police Captain Lance Kite said. "The pickup then collided with the Regional West Medical Center sign, which caused damage to the sign, pickup and landscaping. The collision caused the pickup to come to rest on its passenger’s side."

Straub was arrested for driving under the influence, minor in possession of alcohol and reckless driving.

Straub was transported to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance assisted with this accident.
